Hello, my name is Emma Jandel and I was born and raised in Dayton, OH. I am the daughter of Tom and Cyd Jandel and older sister to Sam Jandel. They are the bomb! My dad loves golf more than anyone I know, my mom is the most loving person I know and my brother is a tall mix in the middle. I was lucky to grow up very competitively with my brother. We have been going at it for years, yet we're each other's biggest fans. I started playing local golf tournaments in middle school, while I was very involved with basketball and soccer. Basketball was my true passion, as I played it 8 months of the year and always wanted to play college basketball. Then fall of my freshman year of high school came along; I had to make a decision to play soccer with all my friends or play golf on the boys team? Needless to say I chose golf and kept getting a little better every year. I continued to play basketball all through high school, although golf was slowly consuming more of my time. A solid summer in 2005 gave me the opportunity to play for the Lady Buckeyes at THE Ohio State University. Now I bleed scarlet and gray and am so proud to be a Buckeye. I studied finance and real estate and graduated in my fifth year, 2011. In the summer of 2010 I turned professional and played a few events on the Symetra Tour. The following year, after graduation, I had conditional status on the Symetra Tour, so I decided to put my finance degree to work at Merrill Lynch. It was a great experience, but it definitely motivated me to work a bit harder on my golf game. That summer I kept improving and earned full status for the 2012 Symetra Tour season. Since then I have been competing full time. I earned conditional status on the 2014 LPGA Tour. I am so thankful for that amazing experience. It drives me everyday to continue improving and work my way back to the LPGA Tour! Since then I have been competing on the Symetra Tour. Thank you for following along, I truly appreciate your love and support. Cheers to lots of chip-ins and birdies!
